Children in Trouble Barneveld takes pity on children from Belarus who still suffer the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster. We try with a group of 7 people, to give these children a better life.

 

We want to help parents and their children. The children are recovering from cancer and must have been cancer free for at least half a year before the White Russian government let them leave the country. Once a child has had cancer, it is necessary to be out of the contaminated area for one month once a year for 7 years. The organs were so affected by the treatment that they can only be cured then. In one months, the blood is completely renewed.  This is not possible in Belarus itself, because the radioactivity is still present throughout the whole country.

 

Therefore, we organize holidays for these children in the Netherlands. In our country they reside in an area with lots of clean air, they get healthy food and lots of attention so they physically and mentally get a major boost.

 

Our main goal is to invite a group of these children once every 2 years . But, in between, our foundation will do everything possible to help the children who are treated in the hospital and their parents.
